PAUL KAYE
hello ようこそ
Coming to you from the island of Hokkaido and the remarkable Niseko region. For those looking to seek out investment opportunities, this magnificent region of Niseko continues to entice savvy investors. For others the region is simply home, but what a fabulous home. The region is famous for its powder snow in winter. The lesser known green season is fast become a go to destination for more and more people. Visitors and investors are rapidly discovering why many of us call the area home. Niseko is a fabulous place to bring up children. In the green season we can experience cycling, hiking, surfing, river and water sports. In the winter months we of course are spoilt with skiing and snow sports. Niseko attracts visitors and investors from various countries. It really has an international flavor here and one really feels connected to many people and places…all this found here in Niseko, Hokkaido.
Do reach out if you are looking for property management advice or assistance. I also have access to a large network of real estate opportunities.
My journey to Japan started many years ago when I was a young boy living in New Zealand. Though at that time I was not aware that one day I would find my way to Niseko. I recall on one autumn evening sitting on our red bench seat outside in the backyard. I remember thinking that there must be a great number of places to visit, people to meet and experiences to have in a lifetime. Later as a teenager, I remember reaffirming this notion.
Fast forward another 10 years and I finally headed to Japan, really with the intention to stay for only about two years then continue on to either North America or the United Kingdom. I spent one year in Nagoya, then brief trips to Europe, the UK and India. After just a 12-month stay in Japan, I was hooked, but I realized that I needed to arm myself with more skills, most of all the ability to communicate in Japanese. So began a new and pivotal chapter - a six-year stint at university; an undergraduate degree in languages - Japanese of course - and then two further graduate diplomas, in business studies and in adult learning and education.
Fast forward to 2005 and I moved (back) to Japan.
I based myself in Sapporo and before long found my way to Niseko. I have now been based in Niseko since 2008.
